Cambridge Global Communication Program

  • The Cambridge Global Communication Program at Hollywood Central Preparatory is a rigorous and personalized academic program, which focuses on active learning and the development of 21st Century skills.  Unlike other discipline-based magnet programs such as STEM, our students do not specialize in any one subject area; instead, they are challenged to excel across all academic subjects while developing a strong background in communications and a global perspective.

Our students receive a holistic, well-rounded education preparing them for entry into the most challenging of secondary academic programs, including Cambridge Secondary II, available at Hollywood Hills, Fort Lauderdale and South Broward High School, AP Courses and dual enrollment.  It is our belief that in order to be successful in their upcoming educational journey, students must have a strong and well-balanced educational foundation with a strong emphasis on academic independence.

Our affiliation with Cambridge University in England sets an international standard of excellence for our school, our faculty, and our students.  Our teachers have been thoroughly trained by Cambridge International Examinations in highly effective active learning strategies and they follow an internationally recognized framework of learning objectives. In addition, our students’ academic progress is measured against students all over the world by a Cambridge International Checkpoint Exam at the end of the 8th grade, guaranteeing a rigorous and engaging internationally recognized education.

Students in the program personalize their experience by choosing from two academic tracks; advanced or accelerated*, as well as from several communications electives pathways.
